I wanted to create a feel for a relationship between horseman and his good working dog with this painting. The sunrise is a symbol for the early mornings, long hours what cowboy and his companion spend together. This piece has a lot of emotions in it understanding the cowboy way of living.

About the frame

One of a kind frame is hand made by my husband, David Slay. Each board is hand chosen to complement the artwork. From rough lumber, David hand crafts the molding to produce each frame. This piece is made from curly Walnut.
