I met this horse when he was a two year old. The first time I put him in a turn out I couldn’t turn my back on him, the way he naturally carried himself was just beautiful. I knew I was going to paint him, he just wants to be on my canvas. I’m sure it is not going to be the last time.

About the frame

One of a kind frame is hand made by my husband, David Slay. Each board is hand chosen to complement the artwork. From rough lumber, David hand crafts the molding to produce each frame. This piece is made from curly Walnut. We chose this wood for it’s beautiful colors and curls.
