 What got my interest for this piece? Colors! So this is a portrait of a yearling at spring, I think if you’re a horseman you know what that means.. and that blue eye and pink nose just added to the mix perfectly.

About the frame

One of a kind frame is hand made by my husband, David Slay. Each board is hand chosen to complement the artwork. From rough lumber, David hand crafts the molding to produce each frame. This piece is made from Picana, a Bolivian hard wood. We choose this wood for it’s beautiful dark color and unique wood grain.
